If the Lord had allowed him to get to the UK or the US, to compete at the Olympic Swimming Championship, He would have lost David to that pursuit. The dream of winning Gold at the Championships was valid and all-consuming, but the Lord had other plans – to redirect his focus from personal ambition to a path of purpose.
